Do you have a passion to work with children - to provide better quality of life through the improvement of their speech? 

CHSH is currently looking for SLP-Assistants who have: 

 - clinical backgrounds in pediatric speech-language intervention (preferred)

 - proficiency in Spanish (preferred)

 - strong people skills with both clients and their families in developing research-based practices in both therapy along with in educating parents on how best to carry over what is being addressed in therapy appointments.  

 - an ability to assist the Speech pathologist with a caseload consisting of a potentially diverse group of  patients such as those with speech-language delays, Down syndrome, cleft palate, and Autism and other syndromes.  

 - appropriate credentials and certifications such as:  current SLP-A license in the state of Texas, CPR and First aid certification (the responsibility of the subcontractor), Texas driver’s license and current auto insurance, and TB test results.  In addition, CHSH will perform a criminal background check on potential candidates.

 - Are willing to sign a contract for HIPAA compliance.  

 - Good organizational skills with regard to maintaining client files and submitting paperwork at appropriate time on a weekly basis.   

 - Therapy-intervention tools and activities that are sensitive to each patient’s age and developmental limitations and abilities.
